How long does it take you to draw these. This would take me days on end.

The Tyrannosaurs in my mind is much the way I saw him depicted in a Discovery Channel Prehistoric Predators' show I watched, in it he used his powerful legs not to run down prey necessarily, but to spring a rapid attack on them. The visual of him leaping too has stayed with me, with his musculature it is theorized he could have been a fairly good pouncer, and using all that weight in combination with his powerful jaws it made sense why his claws were small, he only used them in extreme close quarters to hang on to something when he had to reposition his jaw on the back of the neck or jugular. Point is, seeing this reminds me of that and the longer claws and additional hydra like eel heads to the sides leads me to en-visualize how this guy would strike. I see him leaping onto something bringing down with weight, grinding it to the ground to neutralize speed and bring the chase to a hault then impaling it savagely with the tail, pinning it through the lower abdomen or back/tail. He would stand on the back at that point or pin down the arms with his legs, lean in to where the pilot would be in the chest area generally. The hydra like heads dig away at armor and defenses, combating secondary arms or tendrils the other bioarmor has, I'm guessing as the defenses are neutralized the main head is already removing the head of he bio armor or trying to get in to the pilot. Then I realize this guy is about the sudden strike and then the brutal break down of another. I am sure he holds his own in combat but is likely to be like a lion in how he takes down and dispatches his foes. Or that's what ran through my mind looking at him. Hydraconian is poetry in function and undeniable as artwork, simply amazing work here again Chuck!

Hey I'm just curious about somethings. You mentioned a write up for this creature a couple of months back and I was just wondering if that was done or not? Oh and also I was curious about whether or not this creature created for the upcoming splicers book?

Yeah the write-up is completed but I found out that a LOT of SPLICERS critters I have drawn may debut in an upcoming SPLICERS book regarding the "SPLICERS:PRESERVES" so I have to keep some goodies secret for now. I will see what I can pinch off for the Hydraconian.
