The Sea Lance is another Lemurian Biomancer Gene-Mage creation that is all smooth lines, grace and superb swimming ability. It is the smallest of the War steeds, and the least threatening, however there is something peaceful and majestic about his steed. Like dolphins and flying fish the Sea lance can breach the waves and leap into the air in a forward motion where the wings add height and distance to the out of water leap, enough to enable them to land on the decks of boats and ships, ready to engage the enemy.
Though gentle and graceful, Sea Lances are steady and unshakable in combat. The War Steed will never abandon its rider and have been known to fight to the death to protect him or innocent people, especially children. Sea Lances are a favorite of Scouts, explorers, Biomancers and other practitioners of magic.
The Sea Lance War Steed is capable of running 36 mph (57.6 km) maximum and can swim/rocket through water at a maximum speed of 72 mph (115 km or 62 knots). This speed is doubled along a ley line. Maximum depth is 6 miles (9.6 km).
Flying/Gliding: The Sea Lance can leap out of the water and glide 10-20 feet (3-6.1m) above the waves for a distance of up to 200 feet (61 m), or the Sea Lance can leap upward to land on a ship deck or other surface above water up to 40 feet (12.2 m)high.
Size: 14-18 feet (4.3 to 5.5 m) long from snout to tail tip, and 3-4 feet (0.9 to 1.2 m) wide at the shoulders. Wingspan when fully extended is 18 feet (5.5 m).
Weight: 800-1,200 pounds (360to 540kg), males tend to be 20% larger than females.
