Color: This really kicks as from a color perspective. The only real issue I see here is in the blending. If you have a copy of painter you should experiment with the blenders in that software. They will really help to create a very smooth and creamy blend here.

Anatomy: Watch those waist areas. I hav really been going back and checking out a lot of the ole Chuck stuff and that is the ONLY consistently questionable anatomical issue, which is kinda throwing things off for me. Your waist areas are kinda thin, but that does make the upper body look larger and I assume thats where you are going.

Overall though this is an awesome piece. Keep killinum.

That is one awesome looking Ultraman. Considering his appearance he's probably not from M78 but from a different world altogether.

This one has a very strong feeling of reflectivity. Your painting on the red areas is the most detailed I've ever seen. It looks like you rendered them in Poser or Bryce. If you did, good on you - it takes skill to integrate that into an illustration. If you painted this, you sir have MAD STOOPID PAINT SKILLZ.

Not only does this piece show off the specularity, it also juxtaposes it with the radically different tactile surface of the white areas. They feel like something alien - some kind of pliable organic crystalline ceramic.

Thank you for posting this version. It is a real showcase of your artistic skill.

Thanks amazing Newton! It was done in PS after pencils of course. Thank you for the compliment on the reflectivity because I wasn't certain how I was going to execute it at first. If I were to do more Ultraman work I would certainly do the future series idea with an offworld setting! I even thought of doing a future Godzilla comic story but you know how that goes if you dont have the licensing to do it. Mann... the ideas & story arc would sell & make for an awesome new movie!!!!

Good Lord, man... you worked your fucking ass off on the reflections, and it shows!

As far as licensing vs. Toho and Tsubaraya Productions, if you make it clear that yours is a "fan work," i.e., not official, you're in the clear. I'd love to see what you have in mind for both characters.

So what, did you use the Sorayama method (lots of chrome objects for reference) to make your chrome, or what? And if/when you decide to at least sketch your Ultraman/Godzilla comic story, you'd best be letting me see that stuff! As it is, I'm starting to "go kaiju" on my own stuff with the Mechazoic pieces.

Thank You man, I think the pencils simply carried over for the reflections once it was in photoshop more so than the atually painting process.

Regarding Toho or Tsubaraya Prod., My goal would be to make it official actually as it makes no loot in my pocket to freely bust my butt & take a good deal of time to promote someone else's work and not at least get paid for it in some form or regard. Now if I could talk with G-Fan or a comic publisher holding the licensing rights, then we are talking a different ball game, XD.

I guess I will just have to either seek them out or create my own Kaiju mini series, smile...
